Movistar Team's position in the UCI rankings at the start of 2024: far from the worst and a long way from the best

We start the year 2024 and the crack of @ADescenso informs us every week how far Movistar Team is from relegation. So, the only Spanish UCI WorldTour team is at the bottom of the standings, specifically in 13th position. It has 10,990 points and is between Jayco AlUla (362 points behind) and Intermarché (498 points ahead).
A world away from the leaders and barely a third behind the first two, the unbeatable UAE Team Emirates (30963 points) and Visma - Lease a Bike (29654). Thus, he is 19973 points off the lead. The good news for the Telefonica team is that, for the moment, the relegation is not in danger. Not because of their own merits, but because of the bad season 2023 completed by Arkéa and Astana. Thus, the Gauls accumulate 7229, 3761 points less than Movistar.
We will see how the team evolves and if it completes a more solid 2024 season than a 2023 that started very well but with the poor performances in the Tour de France and Vuelta a España it was left with fewer points than expected.

Years ago LeMond had real personal problems I imagine in no small part because of Armstrong. then Armstrong goes round "full blast" re: LeMond having drinking and drug problems. The same way Andreu was expelled from mainstream cycling so was LeMond. On the positive side the clips of the ride and chatting with old teammates and was good.
