Movistar Team has been active in the fourth stage of the
Tour Down Under, which took place between Murray Bridge and Port Elliot, a day of 136 km.
Brazilian cyclist Vinícius Rangel took a leading role in a long breakaway that kept the fans on their toes. However, his valiant attempt was neutralized just 10 km from the finish line. Gonzalo Serrano, meanwhile, stood out in the decisive bunch sprint, securing a creditable sixth place in the stage. Serrano took the place of Iván García Cortina, who seems not to be finding good legs at the beginning of his campaign in Australia.
The stage victory went to Sam Welsford (BORA - hansgrohe), who took his third victory in the race. In the overall, Cortina, Serrano and Ruben Guerreiro are 11 seconds behind Isaac del Toro, the leader of the classification.
