Michael Matthews looking to take fourth Canadian classic win as he leads urgent BikeExchange

Michael Matthews has won the GP de Québec in it's last two editions in 2018 and 2019, and the GP de Montréal in 2018. As the two races return to the calendar, the Australian will be seeking another win in the coming weekend.

Matthews has taken a win at the Tour de France earlier this year, showing off his climbing skills still in a world-class level. The nature of both races favours Matthews perfectly with a tricky combination of explosive climbs and uphill sprints. He's shown the legs to win these two races over the Tour where he finished second on the punchy finishes into Longwy and Lausanne, however both riders who beat him then - Tadej Pogacar and Michael Matthews - will also be at the start.

Matthews should be the sole leader, however the team may rely on Nick Schultz aswell if he finds himself in good form. Damien Howson, Tanel Kangert and Kevin Colleoni are also expected to fulfill an important support role, whilst Jan Maas and Alexandre Balmer complete the lineup.

Team BikeExchange - Jayco for GP de Québec and GP de Montréal: Michael Matthews, Alexandre Balmer, Kevin Colleoni, Damien Howson, Tanel Kangert, Jan Maas and Nick Schultz.
