  Pogi will probably focus more on the time trials, as he’ll have to, and I don’t expect him to lose 3 seconds per kilometer. Maybe in the first time trial, if he has a really bad day, but certainly not across both combined. He might even win the second one, which is shorter, features a short climb, and takes place in the third week. I expect him to take the yellow jersey after Stage 10 and keep it until the end. He also has a tough World Championships and the Vuelta coming up after the Tour, so he’ll need to manage his energy wisely. If Pogi is healthy and in the same shape as he was this year, then we’re getting a 6 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐TDF winner... 100%. Let’s go Pogi! 💪👍

  Said it in a different thread: I wish the races with gravel/off-road sections (Strade Bianchi, Paris-Tours, Tro Bro Léon, Veneto, In Flanders Field, and more) could be combined into a some kind of points series that could provide some kind of marketing to them all.

  I think he's close. For one thing - and this won't be a well-received take - I won't be surprised if Pog skips RVV this year. He has bigger goals, most of which are later in the season. The big thing in the spring is PR, and there is case for him come into that race fresh and maybe with a couple of kg of additional weight. But even if Pog does do RVV, Wout can win. As he is sometimes prone, he blew himself up too early last year trying to keep up with Pog on Oude de Kwaremont. Had he been just a bit more patient he might well have ended up chasing with either Remco or MVDP. Still not easy to catch Pog, and no guarantee he'd beat the other two even if they did. But the point remains: it's there if things go just right.
