There were two DNS from the official startlist with both Finn Fisher-Black and Ivan Cobo not taking to the start
Stage 2
Luca Vergallito, Mathieu Kockelmann, Yannis Voisard and Hannes Wilksch did not start the start - the last two riders from Tudor. The Swiss team lost another two riders as Marco Brenner and Luc Wirtgem both abandoned the stage afterwards.
Guillaume Martin, Enzo Paleni, Kévin Vauquelin and Lucas Hamilton were all involved in crashes during the day - several other unidentified riders did as well - whilst Mikel Landa crashed on the final descent. However what first looked like a bad injury may not be as bad of a consequence, as the Basque rider managed to finish the stage.

I think riding together they might have overhauled Pogacar on the flats after the last climb. But it would be a weird tactic. That said, the race was brilliant. Five of the 6 or 7 strongest one-day riders in the world finished alone, exhausted, and in perfect order.
MarkFour07-04-2026 - Lots of people think Pogi is doping but take a look at Paul Seixas. he's doing similar superhuman performances at a much earlier age. Science, training and nutrition has also come a long way. But some of these guys are just more superior than the rest. They would not jeopardize their career and achievements for doping. It's just not worth it. Look at how Armstrong gets treated these days. Nobody would want that kind of disgrace and humiliation, especially the humble Pogacar. - I say.... Let him take a shot at TdF -- even if he falters over the next couple of stages @ Itzulia, which I don't think he will. If his performance only ends up being average at TdF, then it's okay. If he does great, then great! Where a select group went out, during and after Arenberg, and it was whittled down slowly until the end, when a visibly exhausted Pogačar made an error and ended up only second? Last year's race already addresses most of what this article claims. The remaining issue is where to get rid of Van der Poel, and what level of power is needed in the last major 4 and 5 star sections to shake him off.
