Mars Sarreau sprints to win at Cholet - Pays de la Loire

AG2R Citroën Team have taken the win at the fourth round of the Coupe de France today at Cholet - Pays de la Loire as Marc Sarreau sprinted to his first win with the team.

The 202-kilometer long race was one designed for the sprinters albeit with opportunities for late attacks to succeed in the hills around the French town of Cholet, however the race was well controled by the teams that had interest in a sprint and saw a bunch finish decide the race.

It was a complicated one, however order was installed as Marc Sarreau hit the front and kept his speed towards the end matching his top performances seen in his old Groupama - FDJ lineup. The Frenchman outsprinted Emmanuel Morin and Piet Allegaert to conquer this race for the second time, in what was his first win since the 2019 Paris-Bourges.
