Mark Cavendish will have another shot at sprint success for Astana Qazaqstan at Tirreno-Adriatico

Italian Tirreno-Adriatico will be yet another destination for Astana Qazaqstan's sprint train with Mark Cavendish in charge.

Cavendish will enjoy the support of his right-hand man Michael Morkov, Cees Bol and Yevgeniy Fedorov, as the three will try to put their leader in best position possible in stages 2 and 7. Stage 4 will likely result in a sprint of a large group, but it's to be seen whether the 38-year-old Manxman will be part of it.

However Astana won't present just one card in Italy, the team's second home. Simone Velasco, the Italian champion appears to be in a very good shape at the start of this season a could target a stage success in one of the harder stages.

Lorenzo Fortunato will attempt to place himself in the general classification over the upcoming week, but the 10km individual time trial won't play in the tiny climber's favor. A top 20 result would make it a good race.
