Mark Cavendish has had a difficult season but through the Giro d'Italia he slowly returned to a good level. He's won the final sprint in Rome and although he's aiming for the Tour de France, the Manxman is already returning to competition at the
ZLM Tour.
Unlike the Giro however, he will have a leadout at the Dutch race, which is set to have four bunch sprints, an ideal preparation for the fast men. He will have the support of
Cees Bol,
Gleb Syritsa,
Martin Laas and
Davide Martinelli who have consolidated themselves as the Manxman's leadout throughout the season, perhaps giving him better chances to perform in the finales. The team is concluded by Kazakh duo
Yuriy Natarov and
Nurbergen Nurlykhassym.
