Lotto Dstny have also confirmed their lineup for the Vuelta a España this Monday afternoon, a lineup that will focus on stage wins but may provide surprises. Arnaud De Lie and Maxim van Gils are absent but in the lineup of the Belgian team are
Victor Campenaerts,
Lennert van Eetvelt and
Thomas de Gendt.
Thomas de Gendt, at age 37, will tackle his 25th and final Grand Tour. The Belgian veteran has put in a big deal of importance on this very race this season and will be on the hunt for a stage win in one of the many hilly days throughout the race, as a breakaway specialist. Victor Campenaerts, stage winner at the Tour de France as well, will also be hunting for wins on the same type of stages.
Lennert van Eetvelt comes as perhaps the one team leader. The youngster is one of the team's bright rising talents and has won the UAE Tour earlier this year. He has a lot of potential and made his Grand Tour debut here last year. He may aim for the overall classification and test himself, if so he could definitely be one of the biggest wildcards.
The team features
Andreas Kron who can be an interesting option for the hilly days and some uphill finales, whilst the lineup will greatly focus on breakaways and is concluded by Argentinian climber
Eduardo Sepúlveda,
Jonas Gregaard and Belgian duo
Sylvain Moniquet and
Arjen Livyns.
