Lorrenzo Manzin will be sidelined at the start of 2024 due to iliac endofibrosis

For the second time in last three years, Lorrenzo Manzin closed the 2023 season without a single victory. Often at the service of the number one sprinter of TotalEnergies, Jason Tesson, the rider from Reunion certainly had less opportunities than in previous seasons, but he also had to deal with a physical problem for part of the season, as he explained on his Instagram account at the end of October.

"For several months, I have been feeling pain in my right leg which has disrupted my season. Following several medical examinations, iliac endofibrosis was detected... I will have to have an operation at the end of the year. Thanks to the Team TotalEnergies for the support. See you soon on the roads," wrote the 29-year-old sprinter in a story.

Forced to switch to billiards, Lorrenzo Manzin will therefore experience a disrupted winter, which will obviously have an impact on his start to the 2024 season and the date of his return to competition.
