The 2027 Tour de France Femmes is starting in England and is set to have three days of racing there before returning to France. Race organizers have confirmed that the stage that will be starting and finishing in London will be a team time trial, set to take place on the streets of the European metropolis.
Whilst the men's route will begin in Edinburgh and head down to Carlisle, Liverpool and Cardiff for the finale of stages 1, 2 and 3; the women's route will begin in Leeds on the 30th of July 2027 - with Yorkshire hosting the race's start. Stage 1 will take place from Leeds to Manchester; the second day will be from Manchester to Sheffield and the third day of racing has now been confirmed to be a team time trial in the capital of London itself.
This will be a historical moment for the women's event and also for Great Britain itself which gets to host a big part of one of the sport's biggest events. "The team time trial has always been one of the most exciting and spectacular formats in cycling, and we are very proud that the first one in the history of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift will take place in London," race director Marion Rousse said in the presentation.

The Mall, Tower Bridge and London Eye on the route

Whilst the route of the team time trial is not fully known yet, it has been reported that it will pass by several of London's iconic landmarks, and the women's peloton will be racing through the heart of the city itself. The finish should be on The Mall whilst the route of the stage is set to include passages by the Tower Bridge, London Eye and Houses of Parliament.
Last year Pauline Ferrand-Prévot took the title in the French race whilst this time around the route will begin in Bretagne (Vagnes) and finished deep in the Alps on the ski town of Châtel.
