The Opening Weekend is underway, and today we have the second race, following yesterday's Omloop het Nieuwsblad won by Mathieu van der Poel. The Dutchman is not racing today, which is a relief for the rest of the teams. Featuring 1800 meters of climbing, mostly packed in the first half of the race, Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne is a perfect opportunity for classics specialists and sprinters. - It depends on how you look at it. It was not a monstrous attack that he put in on the Muur, rather it was monstrous due to the perceived lack of required effort to drop Vermeerch and van Dijke. He himself was surprised at how easy it was to drop them (maybe he was used to seeing a different UAE rider behind him)
