The situation is still the same, the peloton being across the whole width of the road. Several teams are pulling, with speeds around 60km/h.

Nothing has really changed in these past couple of kilometers. The peloton is still together heading towards a sprint finish here.
Some teams however, are trying their best to drop some less climby sprinters, but so far to no prevail.

The break has been caught up to by the peloton, all riders are now together again with about 68km to go.
Meanwhile the riders have also passed the Intermediate sprint earlier, which Juan Ayuso won.

Caleb Ewan just won the first stage of Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali, ahead of Oded Kogut and Fabien Doubey.

It’s amazing how much that instant when you see a guy in front of you slowing can motivate you into going for it when you felt you were already at your limit. It’s even more amazing how you can pretty accurately feel hundreds of m to go whether it will work or not. - I love how he just doesn’t give up for his goal and though it would be great to see him rewarded, I’m convinced he’ll never turn into that bitter old man constantly thinking about what eluded him.
