It's only early February, but Logan Currie can already tick off one big objective for 2024 - the National ITT Championships. The 22-year-old Kiwi was fastest over the 37.4 kilometers long route in Timaru, narrowly beating his former teammate Aaron Gate by 15 seconds. Laurence Pithie (Groupama - FDJ) rounded up the podium.
"It was great. I was so happy to perform down these home roads that are well known to me. It was good to put in a solid ride that I am happy with and managed to take the national jersey with it, so I am just super happy," he said in short press release by his team.
After the National Championships on the road this Saturday, Currie will head over to Africa, to accompany the young talents from the Lotto Dstny's development team at the roads of Tour du Rwanda.
