Jury & Fines Tour de France 2025 | Update Stage 10 - Commissaires go on fining spree after first day in the mountains

Throughout the 2025 Tour de France, the race jury attributes fines to some of the riders and sporting directors. Ultimately the fines can come in the form of money, time penalties or even UCI points, depending on the rule breaking. Here we present what has happened during the race.

Stage 1

Team Jayco AlUla received a trio of fines from the jury. Elmar Reinders was punished 200CHF for a sticky bottle, with his DS getting 500CHF fine for the same offence. To make matters worse, the team were also fined 500CHF for "failing to respect the instructions of the organiser or commissaires."

Bryan Coquard (Cofidis): Irregular sprint at intermediate sprint. 500CHF fine; 13 points classification penalization; Yellow card.
Edward Theuns (Lidl-Trek): Irregular sprint at intermediate sprint. 500CHF fine; 13 points classification penalization; Yellow card.
Davide Ballerini (XDS Astana Team): Irregular sprint. 500CHF fine; 13 points classification penalization; Yellow card.
Danny van Poppel (Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe): Irregular sprint and relegation. 500CHF fine; 13 points classification penalization; Yellow card.
Luka Mezgec (Team Jayco AlUla): Getting rid of waste without precaution. 500CHF fine; 25 UCI points penalization.

Stage 4

Remco Evenepoel (Soudal - Quick-Step): Rider disposing of waste without precaution. 500CHF fine; 25 UCI points penalization.
