Juan Ayuso follows Tadej Pogacar's 2023 program into 2024; Tour de France, Olympics and World Championships as big goals

Juan Ayuso is making his Tour de France debut this year. The young Spanish talent is starting his season with the same program Tadej Pogacar did in 2023, with hopes of replicating his form later on in the season.

The Spaniard will start his season with the Clásica Jaen Paraiso Interior and the Vuelta a Andalucia in February, just as Tadej Pogacar did in 2023. Following that will be an Italian block of racing, as he'll make his debut at Strade Bianche and then aim for the overall classification at Tirreno-Adriatico.

In the spring we don't know yet what his full calendar will be shaped like, Itzulia Basque Country is an option but the UAE Team Emirates rider may also take a dig at the Ardennes classics. Most likely he will then follow a traditional approach to the Tour de France with the Criterium du Dauphiné on the menu. Whilst Tadej Pogacar won't race between the Giro and Tour, João Almeida will race the Tour de Suisse. Ayuso and Adam Yates should be present at the Criterium du Dauphiné.

Ayuso will, like Pogacar, race the Olympic Games after the Tour, and will also prepare for the Zürich World Championships with the Canadian classics where he'll team up with the Slovenian.
