Israel - Premier Tech are relegating to Pro Team, but one of it's riders has recently struck a deal to remain in the highest level of road cycling,
Jenthe Biermans will be racing for Arkéa Samsic in 2023 who are taking his current team's spot.
The report came from Het Laatste Nieuws, who argue that with the departure of Nairo Quintana from the French outfit has seen an increase in available budget, which Arkéa Samsic are putting to use to bolster their classics squad. The likes of Hugo Hofstetter, Amaury Capiot and Matis Louvel have been very successful in achieving the success that has driven the team into the top ranks.
Biermans, 26 years of age, has been riding with the Israeli team since 2020 after leaving the Katusha - Alpecin team where he's made his debut at World Tour. He's developed into a classics rider, many times to the support of his leaders, but with chances of his own occasionally which he's used to ride into last year's Kuurne - Bruxels - Kuurne in the Top5, and several Top10 places in one-day races this season - where he's also ridden the Giro d'Italia.
Biermans will be another card for the French team to keep it's focus in the domestic calendar, although inevitably the ambitions will have to be higher now that the team has taken a meaningful step into promotion.
