Italian duo Simone Consonni and Davide Cimolai involved as Cofidis announce their Giro d'Italia lineup

Cofidis have become the latest team to officially unveil their Giro d'Italia lineup with the Italian duo of Simone Consonni and Davide Cimolai expected to be front and centre for the team.
Consonni has three times previously finished on the podium of a Giro d'Italia stage but the 28-year-old hailing from Ponte San Pietro is yet to get that elusive first stage win. Davide Cimolai meanwhile was runner-up on a pair of Giro stages back in 2021 so the question for Cofidis will be can one of their Italian duo get themselves on the top step of the podium this time around.

31-year-old Francois Bidard will also be involved as will his French compatriots Thomas Champion, Alexandre Delettre, Rémy Rochas and Hugo Toumire with the experinced Spaniard, Jonathan Lastra rounding off the team.

- I agree that Ayuso was wrong in doing what he did at the tour, but we don't know everything behind the feud unless they all say honestly what went wrong.
