Although the route and profiles of the 2025 Tour de France have been announced, the full list of teams set to be competing on those roads is still unclear. At the last two editions of the French Grand Tour, one of the wildcards has gone to Uno-X Mobility although for next year, this is far from certain.

Of course, all World Tour teams will be present. Lotto Dstny and Israel - Premier Tech are unlikely to give up their right to start, which then leaves only two spots open, with a number of teams - Uno-X Mobility included - vying for that opportunity. The Norwegian team will have strong competitors for the invitation in traditional French team TotalEnergies and newly also the Swiss Tudor Pro Cycling with French fan-favourite Julian Alaphilippe among their ranks from next season onwards.

"I think that it is not impossible. In any case, we must not give up beforehand," assesses two-time Tour de France stage winner and one of Uno-X Mobility's leading lights, Magnus Cort Nielsen in conversation with Ekstra Bladet. "There is also so long until the Tour, that you can put the spring season in place and ride it without it having any significance later on."

Magnus Cort was one of the team's star signings ahead of the 2024 season. Taking 5 victories, including a World Tour win at the Criterium du Dauphine, it's been a more than decent campaign for the experienced Dane. "It has been a really good year. When you look at the results, we have performed better than ever year, and they have done that every single year. So it has definitely gone in the right direction," he analyses.

The likes of Uno-X Mobility and their wildcard rivals don't have too long left to find out if they've got a spot at the biggest race of the year. It will be announced in January who will be invited to the  2025Tour de France.
