INEOS Grenadiers skip Tour Colombia however Egan Bernal set to race for national team

The Tour Colombia has seen big names announce their presence today. After Mark Cavendish, Egan Bernal is also virtually confirmed to be in the Colombian race, although he will not be racing with INEOS Grenadiers.
Ciro Scognamiglio of Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the British team opted not to race in the Colombian event, as they have in the past. Bernal however will look to start his season in his home country, and will most likely do it as part of the national team.

The race will take place from the 6th to 11th of February and will host other big stars such as Olympic Champion Richard Carapaz and legendary sprinter Mark Cavendish. Many more will still confirm their presence. Bernal should be one of the favourites for the overall classification after getting back to a strong rhythm this year.
