INEOS Grenadiers confirm extension with Omar Fraile into 2025 - "I’m looking forward to many more moments"

INEOS Grenadiers are announcing their extensions daily now as we head deep into the winter break. Today one of their most recent signings Omar Fraile is revealed to be staying with the team for another two seasons.

"You feel proud when you wear the jersey of one of the best teams in the world. There’s a pressure that comes with it, but it's something that feels really special. I’m super happy to be continuing for another two seasons with the team," Fraile said in a message shared by the team. He was signed in 2022 by the team as a unexpected domestique, but has since adapted well to the role and has thrived throughout the past two seasons.

In 2022 Fraile did not race a Grand Tour but the team was able to see and was pleased with his transformation to a quality domestique. Having learnt from some of the best, in 2023 he had a superb year, winning a stage at the Vuelta a Andalucia in a sprint and then going on to race a very packed year. He kept up with the Tour de France blocked, and then raced both the Tour and Vuelta a Espana from start to finish riding in support of his leaders.

"During the last couple seasons there have been many special moments with the Team, but I think those which stand out are winning the stage in Andalucia this year," he admits. "Then being with the Team at the Tour de France back in July when it started in Bilbao. Racing on home roads at the Tour was incredible. I’m looking forward to many more moments like these over the coming seasons."
