INEOS Grenadiers perhaps lack the big name when in comparison to Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert who nowadays constitute much of the focus within the classics campaign, however they are coming into Paris-Roubaix with high ambitions and a team capable of taking a strong win.
Off the back of strong wins at Amstel Gold Race and Brabantse Pijl where their strength in numbers played a crucial role, INEOS Grenadiers will be looking to take that motivation into the cobbles of northern France where they come in with many options for a strong result. After a second place at the Tour des Flandres and his experience in the race, Dylan van Baarle is expected to come as a rider to be protected more than some of his teammates, however the roads to Roubaix often reward aggressiveness and the British team has plenty riders to use.
Filippo Ganna perhaps the biggest wildcard, not a rider that carries the experience that comes in so handy in the cobbled classics but one who does have the raw power necessary to overcome such a tough race and be a big threat specially if he finds himself alone. Youngsters Magnus Sheffield and Ben Turner have thrived in this classics block, with the 19-year old American winning the recent Brabantse Pijl in style, whilst the team also has in Luke Rowe a brilliant road captain and rouleur, and Michal Kwiatkowski who is another big wildcard for the race, coming in with prestine form and motivation after his win at Amstel Gold Race.
INEOS Grenadiers for Paris-Roubaix: Filippo Ganna, Michal Kwiatkowski, Luke Rowe, Magnus Sheffield, Ben Turner, Dylan van Baarle and Cameron Wurf.
