One of the breakout stars of the last couple of years, Arnaud De Lie's Grand Tour debut has been held back by Lotto Dstny as the team looks to remain patient with their star. In 2024 however, the Belgian is coming to the Tour de France.
It's fair to say the 21-year-old Belgian is incredibly excited to showcase his skills at the biggest race on the cycling calendar. "I'm very happy about that," he admits in quotes collected by Sporza from the Lotto Dstny press day ahead of the 2024 campaign.
"The Tour de France is perhaps the biggest sporting event in the world," De Lie, who in 2023 impressed with victories at races such as GP de Quebec and the Circuit Franco-Belge among others and also was very impressive at the European Championships, eventually finishing fourth.
"There are many beautiful stages to compete in," he concludes, eyeing a potential stage win on debut. "There is a stage for puncheurs that. I also like the gravel stage in Troyes."
