“I am confident that I can defend the lead. If Almeida goes for bonus seconds, then I go for it,” the Slovenian of Bahrain - Victorious says defiantly to Wielerflits in his post-stage interview. “I think I can sprint faster with the bonus seconds sprints, but if they want to go for it, I'm happy to compete. Then we will fight for it to the finish.”

In a thrilling finale to stage 6, Mohoric was the last man out on course in the time-trial. With Almeida impressing with a second-placed finish on the stage, Mohoric was battling against the clock to keep a hold of the general classification.
"I know I have the best legs ever. I know I can do a good time trial, but I haven't trained much on it lately. But if you have good legs, it will come naturally,” he concludes.
