In 2018, Michael Woods came close to a stage 4 win at Giro d'Italia, only to be denied by Tim Wellens. Now, six years further down the road, the Israel - Premier Tech leader is back to the Italian Grand tour, and this time, the aim is obvious: to complete the Grand tour stages collection.

"It's been six years since I have been to the Giro and I'm really excited to be doing it again. I've had a tough start to the season with some illness but I feel like that is finally behind me and now it's time for one of the coolest races on the calendar. I will aim to have a conservative start and then look for stages later on as the race progresses," he states in a press release.
