He simply can't stop winning. He may have left it late, but Matthew Brennan has come out on top again for Team Visma | Lease a Bike, to win stage 2 of the Tour of Norway.
Away from the brutally hot day we saw at the Giro today, the riders in Norway didn't have to worry about the heat today. With just over 8km to go, and all the bunch tightly together, Jan Christen attacked, making sure the UAE Team Emirates - XRG presence was felt.
Into the final kilometre, and it was Jan Christen who attacked again on one of the final ramps. He was proving to be a difficult rider to pull back, and suddenly Visma appeared to be on the back foot.
But Christen couldn't hang on, and then out of no where Matthew Brennan came around Christen, and held off Maxim van Gils for the stage win. Brennan is rapidly proving he is more than a regular sprinter, as there was a serious hill on the way to the finish line.
Visma certainly have another superstar on their hands with Brennan.
