Giro d'Italia General Classification update following stage 3

The last 40 kilometres of the third stage of the Giro d'Italia was a stage of two halves and caused some slight changes in the top 10 of the general classification at the corsa rosa.

To start with, Remco Evenepoel further increased his lead over his rivals after getting a 3-second bonus in the intermediate sprint. Primoz Roglic was second and took 2.

Thus, Remco has increased his advantage over Roglic by 1 second and 3 over the rest of his rivals. Filippo Ganna has fallen out of the top 5 of the general classification and that means three of the pre-race favourites to lift the Maglia Rosa in Rome in three weeks now sit in the top 3: Remco Evenepoel, Joao Almeida and Primoz Roglic.
