Giro d'Italia | Bardiani-CSF-Faizanè ambition stage win in upcoming Giro, Zana and Fiorelli lead

Italian Pro Team Bardiani-CSF-Faizanè announced their lineup and ambitions for the Giro d'Italia, where they will seek to grab a stage win with a diverse team that includes a few riders who will be capable of finding the right opportunities.

Filippo Fiorelli is one of their leaders, as the 27-year old will lead the team's sprinting ambitions, and will be a wildcard for some hilly stages. As for the mountains, young super-talent Filippo Zana will be the team's best card to perform. The young Italian rider brought in several wins last year and finished on the podium of the Tour de l'Avenir. Although he hasn't shown the same form yet in 2022, he will be a rider to watch throughout the race.

Whilst Sacha Modolo is expected to be in the fight for the sprints, likely in support of Fiorelli, the rest of the team should be eyeing breakaways throughout the race. Luca Covili, Davide Gabburo, Luca Rastelli, Alessandro Tonelli and Samuele Zoccarato complete the lineup.

Team manager Bruno Reverberi said: “We are in our 40th participation and in history we are one of the teams in the world with the most stage victories in the Giro. As per tradition this will be our goal, and if these come with riders we have launched into professionalism in recent years, it will be a great satisfaction. For us and for our sponsors this is the most important event of the season, for that reason, as usual, we will try to be in evidence in every moment of the race."
