Giro d'Italia 2023 Intermediate Sprint Classification | Toms Skujins rewarded podium trip in Rome for breakaway-filled race

Toms Skujins was one of the most aggressive riders at the Giro d'Italia over the first weeks of the Giro d'Italia, the effort has been rewarded with a trip to the podium in Rome, as the winner of the Intermediate Sprint classification.

The classification, in points separate to those that contributed to the points classification, saw the Latvian ride into the top. Although it did not give a special jersey it did provide a trip to the podium, Skujins beat fellow breakaway hunters Derek Gee and Thomas Champion.
