Much more serious than
Primoz Roglic, without a smile and wearing a mask,
Geraint Thomas stood before the press before facing the first potentially decisive stage of the 2023
Giro d'Italia. The Welshman from the
INEOS Grenadiers made it clear that everything has been planned in such a way that has arrived in good shape for this hard and definitive third week of the Corsa Rosa:
"We have been warming up to get to the top of this week, a tough mountain stage, with a tough finish, there will be different ones in the general classification. We have a very tough week ahead of us. It has not been easy to save energy with the weather conditions, but everything is going to explode week."
