Geraint Thomas has been in contact with the Spanish tarmac on stage 15 as his awful luck continues.
The Welshman had big general classification ambitions heading into the race after finishing a heartbreaking second at the Giro d'Italia earlier this year. Sadly for the
INEOS Grenadiers leader however, his Vuelta has been spoiled by crash after crash and as a result Thomas has been nowhere near the level required to compete for another Grand Tour podium finish.
