The overall classification of the Vuelta a Espana has changed significantly today with the first summit finish of the race. Remco Evenepoel has moved into the race lead whilst a few riders have showed weakness and lost important time in the GC.
After netting the stage win and bonifications Remco Evenepoel has moved into the race lead, with 5 seconds over Enric Mas and 11 over Lenny Martínez who hung on to the GC group. Going into stage 4, the first sprint day, the Belgian carries 31 seconds over Jonas Vingegaard, 37 over Primoz Roglic and 38 over Juan Ayuso.
