GC update Vuelta a Espana 2025 stage 10 - Jonas Vingegaard back in the race lead

Stage 10 of the Vuelta a Espana delivered some more GC action, with a breakaway threatening the race lead of Torstein Traeen, and several attacks in the final climb creating small splits. The main GC riders have arrived together, however Traeen's difficulties meant Jonas Vingegaard has moved back into the race lead.

João Almeida's repeated attacks on the final climb - despite the presence of Jay Vine in the head of the race in position to win the stage - meant that Traeen was dropped, and Visma kept control of the GC group with Matteo Jorgenson who didn't let the pace drop fully. Jonas Vingegaard arrived together with his rivals and has moved into the race lead with 26 seconds over Traeen, but 38 over Almeida, his closest rival.

Tom Pidcock, Felix Gall, Giulio Ciccone, Matteo Jorgenson, Jai Hindley, Giulio Pellizzari and Matteo Riccitello complete the Top10. The American overtook several riders including Lorenzo Fortunato who dropped out of the Top10, and Egan Bernal who remains out of it.
