After a fireworks-filled sixth stage of
Paris-Nice 2024 in the fight for the general classification,
Brandon McNulty managed to reclaim the yellow jersey he won in th team time-trial with UAE Team Emirates. The result left the
Remco Evenepoel and Primoz Roglic further away from the race lead.
The stage was won by Lidl-Trek's Mattias Skjelmose, who went on the attack with McNulty and Visma - Lease a Bike's
Matteo Jorgenson to hurt the leading men in the general classification. After the attack, Skjelmose, in addition to taking the day's win, climbed 15 places in the overall standings to 4th place, 54 seconds off the lead.
Brandon McNulty, who is having an outstanding race, is again the overall leader 23 seconds ahead of his compatriot, Matteo Jorgenson, who is 34 seconds ahead of Luke Plapp, who lost the yellow jersey on this stage. Evenepoel is in 5th place, one minute and three seconds behind McNulty, and Roglic is 11th, also one minute and 44 seconds behind the American from UAE.
