Stage 7 of the
Criterium du Dauphiné delivered more thrilling action, although the main favourite was the dominator of the stage. Team Visma | Lease a Bike used Matteo Jorgenson to try and raid the GC but were unsuccessful; whilst in the end
Tadej Pogacar grew his gap to
Jonas Vingegaard in the final climb.
With an attack 6 kilometers into the 17-kilometer long climb, it was expected that the gaps would be huge. However, they didn't leave to major changes in the overall classification, rather only the expansion of the gaps between the riders occupying the first positions. Pogacar now has 1:01 minutes over Jonas Vingegaard into the final stage and 2:21 over
Florian Lipowitz.
Remco Evenepoel, Tobias Johannessen, Paul Seixas, Matteo Jorgenson, Ben Tulett, Carlos Rodríguez and Enric Mas complete the Top10. Stage 8 will have a summit where a lot can still change in the bottom half of the Top10.
Hey Tadej, give the competition a chance so it doesn't become a bore fest...🥱
