Among those looking to challenge, Anna van der Breggen returns with leadership at Team SD Worx - Protime, offering proven stage race control and experience in high pressure scenarios. Kasia Niewiadoma is another central figure, with the demanding climbing route removing many of the limitations that have previously held her back in Grand Tours.
The parcours also brings riders like Gaia Realini and Evita Muzic firmly into contention. Both are among the most natural climbers in the peloton and could thrive on the steep gradients expected in the decisive stages. Elsewhere, Liane Lippert leads the challenge for Movistar, while Ashleigh Moolman adds further experience and depth to the GC battle.
