INEOS Grenadiers' Filippo Ganna has secured his overall victory at the 2023 Tour de Wallonie as Andrea Bagioli took victory on the final stage in Aubel.
The fifth and final stage of the 2023 Tour de Wallonie had some momentary confusion towards the end as the race was halted with around 30km to go thanks to some confusion over the race route. Once the action resumed, Mauro Schmid resumed his solo lead of the race some 30 seconds ahead.
Heading into the final kilometre, Andrea Bagioli and Stephen Williams held a narrow, 15-second lead over the peloton. In the end, victory went to the Soudal - Quick-Step man.
