After an altitude training camp, Soudal - Quick-Step will undergo it's final test as a block ahead of the Tour de France, when it comes to the sprints. Fabio Jakobsen will return to racing and lead the team over the Belgian race.
Jakobsen will be joined by Michael Morkov, Casper Pedersen and Yves Lampaert who should be his leadout into the Grand Boucle, whilst Tim Declercq will likely also be taking part in order to work on the flat days. Pedersen and Lampaert could fight for the overall classification too, whilst the team is completed by Jannik Steimle and Stan van Tricht.
“The main goal is to be there in the bunch sprints with Fabio, who’ll have the strong support of Yves, Michael and Casper," team DS Tom Steels said in a press release. "The ITT suits Yves, but also Casper and Jannik should get a good result there, while the penultimate stage, with all those hills and around 3000 vertical meters will play a big role in the final outcome. We’ll see how things go in the general classification, and if we’ll have an opportunity to be up there, we’ll give our best, as always."
