Ethan Hayter stuns Filippo Ganna to take time trial win on stage 3 of 2025 Baloise Belgium Tour

Ethan Hayter has stunned his former INEOS Grenadiers teammate Filippo Ganna to secure a very impressive individual time trial win on stage 3 of the 2025 Baloise Belgium Tour.
Soudal - Quick-Step's British star Ethan Hayter had the fastest of the early times, 19 seconds quicker than his compatriot Connor Swift thanks to an effort of 10:29 for the 9.7km time trial. Although the likes of Alec Segaert, Filippo Baroncini and Pier-Andres Cote went close to Hayter's time, the Brit remained in the hotseat and was beginning to look like having a stage winning chance.
Hayter was still the man to beat when pre-stage favourite Filippo Ganna took to the start ramp. Even the Italian powerhouse couldn't topple his former teammate however, crossing the line in provisional 2nd place, 4 seconds slower than Hayter. With of the riders post-Ganna able to threaten the best times, the stage win was Hayter's.

- These police and organizers are out there every day for hours, trying to make an inherently dangerous activity safe for the riders and reasonably pleasant and well-organized for millions of spectators who get to watch for free. - Maybe if you would be interested in informing yourself on subjects you post about, you could save yourself a lot of questions, and having to read replies ;-) It is not the UCI that banned him but the court of arbitration of sport who have a whole range of penalties to inflict on perpetrators, including hefty financial fines. All the UCI will do if needed, is 1, ask for him to be arrested for trespassing and/or 2, refer him to the tribunal for judgement.
