Another pan-flat day at the UAE Tour led to a bunch sprint, and Jayco AlUla's Dylan Groenewegen was the big winner today.
A flat day in the race, but not a calm one as the wind was present throughout the day and caused occasional splits. Geoffrey Bouchard (AG2R Citroën Team), Thomas de Gendt (Lotto Dstny), Louis Vervaeke and Josef Cerny (Soudal - Quick-Step) were present in front, but there were weird dynamics throughout the day with some riders attacking and dropping back to the peloton.

Samuele Zoccarato (Green Project - Bardiani CSF - Faizanè) attacked once again but he was then caught with 34 kilometers to go. Some echelons took place but as the riders rode into a headwind in the final kilometers it came back together, with a bunch sprint inevitable.
There were several leadouts in the final kilometer on the wide roads, with Quick-Step and BORA having their men in front. Many riders took to the front in another tight sprint, but Dylan Groenewegen was the fastest on the day. Fernando Gaviria and Sam Bennett finished second and third on the day.
