Mischa Bredewold has taken the win at the 2025
Amstel Gold Race Ladies, delighting the Dutch crowd in attendance after a chaotic start to the Ardennes Classics.
As the race began to split up with the finish in mind, an massive 18-woman group got themselves clear up the road, including some notable names too such as: Mischa Bredewold, Lorena Wiebes, Blanka Kata Vas, Juliette Labous, Neve Bradbury, Yara Kastelijn,
Puck Pieterse, Anna Henderson,
Ellen van Dijk, Alison Jackson and Silvia Persico.
By 10km to go, however, just Persico, Pieterse, Labous, Van Dijk, and Bredewold remained at the head of the race, with the chasing group around a minute down. The main peloton, however, was two minutes down and seemingly completely out of the running. With things from the front still far from settled, however, the attacks kept coming. At just over 5km to go, Van Dijk and Bredewold launched clear of their companions.
On the Cauberg, it was then Bredewold who proved the strongest, dropping Van Djik. Labous and the rest hadn't completely given up hope just yet though, with the chase going full gas in pursuit of the Team SD Worx - Protime star inside the final 2km.
