Diego Ulissi leads multi-faceted UAE Team Emirates at the Tour Down Under with Del Toro and Morgado given early tests

UAE Team Emirates have become the latest team to reveal their seven-man lineup for the upcoming Tour Down Under, kicking off the 2024 road racing campaign.
In a multi-faceted team that can cast an eye towards both overall victory and stage wins, it's likely to be the experienced Italian, Diego Ulissi who leads the team's charge, supported by the likes of Alessandro Covi and the Kiwi duo of Michael Vink and Finn Fisher-Black.
For the sprints, Alvaro Hodeg will be the go-to man for the team but it's their remaining two riders who perhaps incite the most excitement within the team. The highly-rated and vastly talented young duo of Isaac del Toro and Antonio Morgado make their debut.

- Yes, it's likely there was tension with his wife too, which would have aggravated the emotional destabilization. Regarding Tadej, I was referring to the sporting aspect. I never saw him cry, not even when he won something or when he brutally lost the Tour de France 2023. He takes the sport more playfully.

One is that Jonas's wife might expect him to support her right to speak out, so she may be more upset than his team. The other is that Tadej has come close to crying at various times, but the English-language media doesn't seem to care. Like when he looked frazzled in the first stages of the Tour last year, and the fact that his grandfather had just died and he got Covid while going home for the funeral never occurred to them as contributing to this.Hill3310-07-2025
