David Gaudu's struggles continue as the Frenchman is dropped with over 50km still to go

This was supposed to be David Gaudu's year at the Tour de France. The big French hope, a podium challenge was expected with Groupama-FDJ building their whole team around him. Sadly this has not been the case.
Fourth last year at the Tour de France, Gaudu started the day in 11th position. The Frenchman will seemingly be tumbling down the standings now though as he has already been dropped on stage 15 from a relatively large peloton being led by Jumbo-Visma and Dylan van Baarle.

- What's more pressure than trying to beat MVDP in a one-day sprinter's classic? It's like trying to win a grand tour stage in a bunch sprint.. They both put each other in the pressure cooker, but JV needs to win, in my opinion, more than TP. - Why would you expect cycling to be different than any other sport? World Tour riders pass tests in and out of competition, so the playing field is as level as can be found in any high level competition.

Madiot needs to critical analyze his decision making skills. Leaving Demare a top class sprinter at home, asking Pinot the in-form rider to slave for Gaudu only for Gaudu to barely make top ten🤦🤦🤦
