Danish coach confirms Jonas Vingegaard plans to skip Glasgow World Championships

For Jumbo-Visma's Danish leader Jonas Vingegaard, all his attention is currently on the upcoming defence of his Tour de France Maillot Jaune.
So focused is Vingegaard, he will absent from the from the World Championships for the first time in his career it has been confirmed by Danish coach, Anders Lund. "He told us that the World Championships were not possible for him because of his racing program after the Tour," Lund confirms sadly in conversation with TV2.
As mentioned, Vingegaard has never before missed the World Championships since he turned professional back in 2019. Sadly for fans of the 26-year-old Dane however, Vingegaard will not be in Glasgow in August.
Jumbo-Visma have revealed an incredibly strong team, built around Vingegaard for the upcoming Tour de France. The likes of Sepp Kuss, Wilco Kelderman, Wout van Aert and Dylan van Baarle will all be supporting their leader as he looks to take a second successive Tour de France victory.
