We review the list of riders who still do not have an official contract with any team for 2027. This is the full transfer market update with key names such as Egan Bernal, Mikel Landa, Primož Roglič, Richard Carapaz, the entire Movistar Team outlook, Arnaud De Lie, etc., etc.
Tracking this kind of information in cycling is tricky because, for example, this list from our colleagues at ProCyclingStats, which we know comes from the UCI, includes Remco Evenepoel, even though he has a multi‑year deal with Red Bull BORA and will stay with the German team.
Primož Roglič is also listed. At 36, we will see what decision he makes after he races his big target this year, the Vuelta a España. Veterans like Diego Ulissi and Mikel Landa will more than likely change teams (the Basque certainly will, confirmed to be leaving Soudal).
Elsehwere, Pinarello Q36.5 have reportedly tabled a seismic contract for Paul Seixas, despite not being out of contract until 2028. The ambitious deal would take the French teenager to new heights on the pay scale as part of their burgeoning project that saw them sign Tom Pidcock ahead of the 2025 season.
Next come two South Americans who, in theory, will stay put. Richard Carapaz is said to have extended with EF Education according to Javier Ares, and Egan Bernal is according to Daniel Benson close to a new deal with INEOS. Rounding out the top 10 without an official contract for 2027 are Guillaume Martin (given his current level at Groupama, he might as well call time), Christophe Laporte (what will Visma do with him?), Alexey Lutsenko (missing in action at NSN) and Danny Van Poppel.

A lot of riders on the move

The list goes on with riders who, per Gazzetta dello Sport and Benson, already have deals lined up: Arnaud De Lie to Tudor, Ben O'Connor to Decathlon, and Jai Hindley close to re‑upping with Red Bull after being linked to Visma. Mauro Schmid is reportedly set for Pinarello Q36.5, Santi Buitrago for Iniesta’s NSN, and Kaden Groves for Tudor. Lennert Van Eetvelt, like De Lie, could also leave Lotto for NSN or Astana according to HLN.
Among the Spanish riders, with Mikel Landa set for a change of scenery, Iván García Cortina and Gonzalo Serrano also look likely to leave Movistar Team. We will see whether Albert Torres continues one more year or extends. Igor Arrieta would leave INEOS for Lidl‑Trek. Cristian Rodríguez will not continue at Astana, nor Óscar Rodríguez at INEOS. Markel Beloki would move from EF to INEOS.
As for Movistar Team, of the eight riders out of contract for next year, the closest to staying appear to be Manlio Moro and Filip Maciejuk. Natnael Tesfatsion and Lorenzo Milesi seem keen to move on after strong seasons, and Movistar are not counting on Davide Formolo. As noted, Cortina and Serrano look set to depart, and we will see what happens with Torres.
