BORA - hansgrohe are down yet another rider due to Covid-19 as
Max Schachmann has tested positive, and is now at risk for the
Tour de France - besides missing the
national championships this week.
The German team have said they would be announcing their lineup this Sunday, however the situation is chaotic as multiple of the riders set to take part in the Tour de France have came down with Covid-19 - Schachmann is the fourth confirmed from the riders who took part in the recent Tour de Suisse.
Whilst Sergio Higuita flew into a second place in the overall classification, he is not planned to be in the Grand Boucle, however the plan may change due to recent occurrences. Aleksandr Vlasov was leading the Swiss race when he tested positive, and form will be an unknown now heading towards the biggest goal of his season.
