“For a long time, I have dreamed of joining Uno-X Mobility. The team’s development over the past few years has been impressive, and I believe I can take another step as a rider in the environment the team offers," Pedersen said
in an announcement.“I am really looking forward to becoming part of the strong team spirit you can see at Uno-X. The way they race as one unit is inspiring and brings out the best in everyone. I think it will be a fantastic environment for me.”
Pedersen inspired by Uno-X Mobility
Relying on his versatility, Pedersen believes he can be the perfect teammate for a general classification leader, indicating that he would like to ride the Giro d'Italia in 2027.
“I look forward to contributing with my versatility, whether that means leading out a sprinter, protecting a GC leader or chasing a result from the breakaway on hard, open days.”
He added: “One of my big goals is to race the Giro, as it is the only Grand Tour I have not yet ridden.”
After eight seasons at WorldTour level, Pedersen has much to pass on to a developing team, and labelled the opportunity to ride with Uno-X a "dream come true".
He added: “I hope to share what I have learned during my years at WorldTour level with the team’s many young talents. At the same time, I am inspired and continue to develop through exchanging ideas and experiences with my teammates."
He hopes to pass on experience
“Seeing a teammate grow and develop gives me a lot of satisfaction. I am looking forward to working with the team’s experts and experiencing the Uno-X culture, which I have heard so many good things about. Becoming part of this team is a dream come true.”
Signalling his experience to take to a race assertively, General Manager Thor Hushovd believes he'll fit well with the team.
“Casper is the kind of rider who makes the entire team stronger. He has the engine and racing intelligence to take responsibility in the classics, support our sprinters and GC leaders, and take his own opportunities when they come,” Hushovd said.
“Just as importantly, he wants to use what he has learned to help the riders around him. That mindset fits very well with the way we work and the culture we have built. We are very pleased that he has chosen Uno-X Mobility.”
