Michel Ries will also race for Arkéa-B&B Hotels in 2024. The 25-year-old climber from Luxembourg has extended his expiring contract by one year and will soon enter his third year for the French formation.
Ries started his professional career at Trek-Segafredo, with some strong U23 results at his palmares. However, the Luxembourger never managed to break through at the highest level and took a step back to the second highest level of cycling at the end of 2021 when he signed with Arkéa-Samsic.
In his first year for this team, Ries finished ninth in the Mercan'Tour Classic Alpes-Maritimes and the Giro dell'Appennino. Last season there were no notable performances, but Ries managed to successfully complete the Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España.
