Mathieu van der Poel and
Jasper Philipsen have ruled
Paris-Roubaix with an iron fist over recent seasons, completing a one-two finish at both the 2023 and 2024 editions. As they're officially confirmed to lead the team again this weekend, can they do it again in 2025?
"First and second in 2023. First and second in 2024. 2025? Same dream. Same fire. Same hunger for Paris-Roubaix," explains the
Alpecin-Deceuninck team on their official social media pages as they announce their seven-man lineup for the upcoming battle on the brutal French cobbles. "We line up with experience, grit, and a deep love for the cobbles. And the chaos."
As mentioned, the team are led once again by the all-star duo of Van der Poel and Philipsen. Support for the two team leaders comes in the form of the likes of
Silvan Dillier, who provided a massive effort on the front of the peloton at Milano-Sanremo earlier this year. Plus,
Edward Planckaert,
Jonas Rickaert,
Oscar Riesebeek and
Gianni Vermeersch. Will it be enough to secure a third successive Paris-Roubaix victory for the team? We will find out this Sunday afternoon!
