The whereabouts of Caleb Ewan right now is one of the biggest questions in pro cycling. The Australian sprinter, one of the best from the past decade, is seemingly not staying with Team Jayco AlUla but nothing has been announced and at the time he sits without a team. However it is safe to say that he will not be retiring.
Journalist Daniel Benson is in the 'Costa Blanca' and besides many teams over the past few days hosting their media days, plenty of trustworthy names connected to all teams in the World Tour remain in the area. Benson has talked to Caleb Ewan's agent and has written the following on X: "Caleb Ewan's agent has just ruled out retirement for his client. Asked if he was stopping, the response was an emphatic 'definitely not'."
At this time, Ewan continues to not be named in the team's official website and it can be safely assumed that he will not race for the team despite supposedly having a contract until the end of the 2025 season. From the 'Pocket Rocket's' camp continues to come only silence, but his absence from the website, national championships and Tour Down Under give value to the expression 'sometimes silence speaks louder than words'.
